Loveland is indeed a community with much
to offer! It is 45 miles north of Denver, and sits just east
of the foothills with a population of 60,545. At 5,000 feet,
it has a great climate with low humidity and moderate summer
temperatures. Snow averages about 50 inches a year, but it usually
melts very quickly with our sunny skies. Loveland is known as the "Sweetheart
City," because of its valentine remailing program. People
from around the world mail their valentines to Loveland to be
remailed with a special Loveland valentine postmark. People also
travel to Loveland to be married in the town with such a romantic
name. One of the unique features of Loveland is emphasis on the arts. It is a national center for bronze sculpture, with two bronze foundries. Many well known artists work and live in Loveland. U.S. Art Magazine placed Loveland amount the top eight "Great Art Destinations" in the United States. Loveland was also ranked eighth in The Best Small Art Towns in America. |
